Since 1994 I have worked in the trades. As a high school student, I worked with in heating, air conditioning, ventilation, refrigeration, electrical, roofing, carpentry, masonry, gutters and siding, generators, trenching, communications, computer networking, and basically everything in the trades. In 1998 I joined the US Navy and entered the Nuclear Power Program as a machinist mate in the Submarine Service. In 2002 I came to Hawaii with the Navy where I worked at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard in shop 56 as a military shop foreman. Leaving the Navy in 2006 I worked as a government contractor running multiple construction projects as well as developing a reputation as a project manager for any type of project and receiving my masters and Ph.D. in Business Management. In 2015, I returned to Hawaii to stay and started my own mechanical services company.  In 2020 I sold my HVAC company and moved to Wisconsin to work on my second doctorate in Education, Career and Technical Studies all while working as a field service HVAC&R technician.

Global Linguist Solutions (GLS), LLC is a joint venture between AECOM and DynCorp International to support Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) with personnel, training, materiel, leadership and an operationally focused organization that delivers the highest quality foreign language interpretation and translation services resulting in high fill rate, high retention and unparalleled support. The five-year $4.6 billion contract is overseen by the U.S. Army’s Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM). GLS provides foreign language interpretation and translation services to the U.S. Army and other U.S. Government agencies supporting OIF, including embedded Iraqi interpreters who operate with U.S. forces.

 OCONUS-OTI Business Unit Director (Former)

Restructured the Business Structure within GLS and changed title to the OCONUS-OTI Business Unit Director where overall job duties remained the same but became responsible for establishing a business development, capture management, and proposal writing contingents as part of a Business Unit Portfolio obtaining 9 (total of 57 total work at GLS) outstanding ratings from the customer resulting in maximum award fee for all task orders.

 Director of Special Programs (Former)

Promoted to Director of Special Programs where managed a portfolio of 25 projects worth over $65M and expanded operations to 13 military and government agencies working in 12 countries.  Task order management resulted in 23 (48 total for work at GLS) outstanding ratings from the customer resulting in maximum award fee for all task orders. Responsible for reporting and complying with FARs, Defense Contracting Audits, ISO:9000 controls, Lean Six Sigma management, and DOS shipping controls. Managed the CONUS and OCONUS operations for the Special Programs department of Global Linguists solutions taking a fledging operation and turning it into an organization that received 7 outstanding ratings from the customer resulting in the maximum award fee for all task orders.

 Owner and General Manager

Created Iraqi based umbrella cooperation for six different types of companies based upon American Businesses practices and Western Methodologies.  Managed the business development and public footprint while overseeing daily operations, including personnel management, life support, property management, inventory management, logistics control, marketing, client and proposal negotiations, contractor and military relations, public relations, site security, and personnel/VIP security.  Established training mechanisms together with regional governments and area schools to train locals in American engineering standards, business practices, and military style security and protections services. Consulted with Government, Military, and commercial customers in Middle East, Northern Africa, and Eastern Europe.

• US-Iraq Training Base Construction: ($24.7M) Ran the project management for building seventeen (17) bases in Northern Iraq to be used by US troops to train Iraqi police, army, and border patrol troops. Built the base from ground up to include digging trench; placing barricades; setting the utilities for water, power, and sewer; constructing all buildings; installing generators; installing water purification system and digging well; hooking up the entire encampment; and providing life support services once the camp was built.
• Cell Phone Tower – Northern Iraq: ($1.2M) Installed cell phone towers in 47 locations in Northern Iraq for the USAF Corps of Engineers. Used local national labor and equipment to pour the ground foundation and erect the towers.
• Created a supply mechanism that allowed US Service Members to obtain supplies while minimizing their risk in a combat environment
• Developed a truck yard with a material and property transfer dock to move goods from truck to truck to mask the movement of goods within country thereby eliminating threat of theft will still maintaining positive control of all items
• Developed a reputation for being able to get things done in the most extreme of conditions with the US Military, US State Department, International Relief Organizations, and Commercial Customers
• Performed all required tasks within budget and without injury to a single employee
• Developed contacts within the Kurdish Regional Government and with the Provisional Reconstruction Teams and added to the list of preferred consultants
• Performed over 400 PSD missions without losing a single client or employee
• Developed a method to move trucks with military supplies through highly contested areas securely while reducing engagements by 64%
• Developed a supply chain management system that stocked common repair parts for well drilling equipment and vehicles and created a method to import hard to find components
• Developed a maintenance tracking system for US vehicles donated to the Kurdish police and military units to ensure vehicles maintenance was conducted at regular intervals and increased the life span of the vehicles from 8 months to one more in line with American standards
• Assisted over 15 Non-Profit Non-Governmental-Organizations (NGO) with completing their stated mission of delivering aid and relief to war torn areas without compromising the principles of the NGO, without losing a single employee or associate, and completing each mission to the betterment of the supported staff.
• Developed a power generation and energy storage system that allowed the city of Dohuk to generate enough electricity during optimal hours and store energy using local geography to be used during less optimal production cycles allowing the city of Dohuk to eliminate power surges, black outs, and brown outs.
• Assisted in the development of a water purification and delivery system upgrade that ensured the entire city of Dohuk received clean water that meets international standards.

This project aspires to produce self-sufficient, sustainable micro-societies through a broad range of initiatives touching on nearly every aspect of life in these scenic historic villages. Using creative modern solutions such as solar power and energy efficient design concepts to encourage conservation while implementing groundbreaking new industries to foster economic sustainability, Viable Villages is creating a whole new paradigm for the historic villages of Northern Iraq.

• Conducted environment impact studies in Northern Iraq that were accepted and published by the UNEP
• Developed a recycling program for the city and Governate of Dohuk and that improved the environmental impact on the local community caused from burning non-sorted trash
• Introduced new technology and business ideas in 14 villages in Northern Iraq resulting in over 280 people moving out of the cities back to economically viable villages
• Implemented a green waste compost program that diverts trash from landfills back to the soil and used to create more nutrient rich food
• Developed a training program to teach local farmers to use hoop houses for shade and to control moisture content through the use of swamp coolers and aquaponic systems.

Consortium of Iraqi, Kurdish, and American intellectuals.  The center is focused on continued progress in the Kurdish region.  Projects that the center are working on include getting pure water for school children, mapping the water supplies in Kurdistan, encouraging American business practices in Kurdistan, and acting as a project managing center for anyone interested in working in Iraq.
