Director of Program Management and Operations (Former)

Develop the international language and contingency operations division at The Buffalo Group.  Responsible for businesses development and program management for all contracts providing linguists, cultural advisors, instructors for both considerations, role-players, and OCONUS contingency operations.  Instrumental in developing The Buffalo Groups International Footprint and developing the key capability of hiring non-US personnel overseas.  Assisting The Buffalo Group with developing their Business Systems and increase their maturity level with regard to enterprise systems. Responsible for program management on DLITE, EAGLE, SIAII, SEAPORTe, and LREC contracts.

Executive Highlights

    • Took a contract which was originally priced and planned to operate at a budget deficit and turned it around to generate an overall profit.
    • Developed an instructor training program that enabled the SOCOM customer to have the highest pass rates and highest percentage of students exceeding requirements in the history of the school
    • Maintained 100% Outstanding rating on all task orders across all assessment periods from all Customers
    • Grew TBG from 23 employees when I started to over 400 employees on my programs.

Global Linguist Solutions, LLC – Falls Church, VA……………………………….……………………… 2008 – 2011

Global Linguist Solutions(GLS), LLC supports Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) with personnel, training, materiel, leadership and an operationally focused organization that delivers the highest quality foreign language interpretation and translation services resulting in high fill rate, high retention and unparalleled support. The five-year $4.6 billion contract, is overseen by the U.S. Army’s Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM). GLS provides foreign language interpretation and translation services to the U.S. Army and other U.S. Government agencies supporting OIF, including embedded Iraqi interpreters who operate with U.S. forces.

OCONUS-OTI Business Unit Director (Former)

Restructuring the Business Structure within GLS leads to a change in title to OCONUS-OTI Business Unit Director where overall job duties remain the same but added responsibility for establishing a business development, capture management, and proposal writing contingents as part of a Business Unit Portfolio obtaining 9 (total of 57 total work at GLS) outstanding ratings from the customer resulting in maximum award fee for all task orders.  After I left, GLS received 8 more Outstanding Awards for my projects during the time I was the manager for a total of 65 Outstanding Awards and 100% Fee on all projects.

Director of Special Programs (Former)

Promoted to Director of Special Programs where managed a portfolio of 25 projects worth over $25M and expanded operations to 13 military and government agencies working in 12 countries.  Task order management resulted in 23 (48 total for work at GLS) outstanding ratings from the customer resulting in maximum award fee for all task orders. Responsible for reporting and complying with FARs, Defense Contracting Audits, ISO:9000 controls, Lean Six Sigma management, and DOS shipping controls. Investigated processes and implemented procedures, controls, and internal audits to ensure 100% Sarbanes-Oxley Act, DCAA, contractual, and internal compliance.

Program Manager – Special Programs (Former)

Promoted to Program Manager for Special Programs and expanded the Special Programs task orders to encompass 8 countries throughout the Middle East and North-Eastern Africa.  Captured, evaluated, and managed 12 individual task orders in resulting in 18 (25 total) outstanding ratings from the customer resulting in the maximum award fee for all task orders.  Responsible for reporting and complying with FARs, Defense Contracting Audits, ISO:9000 controls, Lean Six Sigma management, and DOS shipping controls. Investigated processes and implemented procedures, controls, and internal audits to ensure 100% Sarbanes-Oxley Act, DCAA, contractual, and internal compliance.

Senior Operations Manager – Special Programs (Former)

Managed the CONUS and OCONUS operations for the Special Programs department of Global Linguists solutions taking a fledging operations and turning it into an organization that received 7 outstanding ratings from the customer resulting in the maximum award fee for all task orders.

    • Grew my division 20 times over from June of 2008 until December of 2011

Founded in 2007, The Shinar Group operates in Northern Iraq specializing in the impossible while utilizing modern methodologies and technologies to increase and improve quality of life, health, safety, renewable energy, exportable commodities, recycling, communications, high technology, and international trade and logistics. Through strategic relations within the global community as well as on the ground in Iraq, The Shinar Group is able to excel in implementing a broad array of solutions for an incredibly diverse group of stakeholders.

Owner and General Manager

Created Iraqi based umbrella cooperation for six different types of companies based upon American Businesses practices and Western Methodologies.  Managed the business development and public footprint while overseeing daily operations, including personnel management, life support, property management, inventory management, logistics control, marketing, client and proposal negotiations, contractor and military relations, public relations, site security, and personnel/VIP security.  Established training mechanisms together with regional governments and area schools to train locals in American engineering standards, business practices, and military style security and protections services. Consulted with Government, Military, and commercial customers in Middle East, Northern Africa, and Eastern Europe.

 Executive Highlights

    • Created a supply mechanism that allowed US Service Members to obtain supplies while minimizing their risk in a combat environment
    • Performed over 400 PSD missions without losing a single client or employee
    • Developed a method to move trucks with military supplies through highly contested areas securely while reducing engagements by 64%
    • Assisted over 15 Non-Profit Non-Governmental-Organizations (NGO) with completing their stated mission of delivering aid and relief to war torn areas without compromising the principles of the NGO, without losing a single employee or associate, and completing each mission to the betterment of the supported staff.

US Navy Nuclear Power Program/Submarines…………………………………………………1998-2006

MACHINIST’S MATES (MM) – Submarines

Operate and maintain steam turbines and reduction gears used for propulsion and auxiliary machinery such as turbo generators, pumps and oil purifiers. Maintain auxiliary machinery outside of main machinery spaces, such as electrohydraulic steering engines and elevators, refrigeration plants, air conditioning systems and desalinization plants. Operate and maintain compressed gas producing plants. Nuclear-trained MMs perform duties in nuclear propulsion plants operating reactor control, propulsion and power generation systems.
